Saint Maude is quite the scary biblical movie.
Maude, the protagonist, is a shy devoted Christian, who cares for a terminally ill women (spinal cancer stage 4).
The woman, has lost all hope. Smokes cigarettes like a chimney and can’t even bathe herself anymore. Essentially she has lost all autonomy and joy, finding very few celebratory moments with her impending death coming.
Maude wants to save her “soul” and her efforts and thoughts become unwelcome by the dying lady. Everything hits…

Hell or High Water was a slow burn Western.
A collision course between two brothers and a retiring policeman. Someone will ultimately fall. Looking beyond that, it’s a collision between rich and poor and what the protagonist calls a disease hence why they morally feel they can rob banks.
