Okay listen, yes this movie is earnest and cheesy, but it’s also a timely reminder that America has been a shithole country since well before it was marred by the stains of the current administration, and the brief reprieves to that really only come when brave bitches rise out from the gen pop and sacrifice so much of themselves to make life tolerable for people who aren’t licking the boots of the ugly fucks in charge. Also, the soundtrack and C-SPAN clips made me lol!
