Dune: Part Two 2024
Unparalleled cinematography, sound design and casting. Despite this, lacking in character substance and development. I think many book-readers knew much of the characters’ backstory and motivations going into it and it gave them a different perspective on the relationships, deaths and triumphs of each character when it fell flat for those who didn’t know or care about these details. A clearer look at each character would have been great for the movie to stand on its own legs without needing a series of books to do it for you.
