One of the most disturbing comedies I’ve ever seen. Pretty great tho. Deals with issues inherent to intersectional struggles of race and class in a way that feels both drastically exaggerated and hopelessly true at the same time.
That one stop motion animated scene was an unexpected treat that made me decide I loved what this movie was doing.
I love how intensely this movie commits to not taking itself seriously, the playful editing and animations where a blast and honestly I would recommend it just based on that. These choices work with the ridiculous, unpredictable story to create an experience that is as weird as it is funny. Great movie if you’re in the mood for something wild and fun.
