Scariest movie I have maybe ever seen and not even a horror.
But genuinely I left feeling skeeved out! Amanda Seyfried plays director so well, as well as Rebecca Liddiard as the costume designer, Clea! So many parallels to the opera, but no direct ones which i loved!

This was an AMC Screen Unseen movie so I didn’t know what I was seeing when I was walking in, which is probably the reason for a big part of my dislike for this movie. I can struggle with veteran stories, and this was no exception. Some great performances especially from the lead actress but the writing felt sloppy and disingenuous.
