  I didn't know balikbayan translated to homebound. I just always associated the word with "balikbayan boxes"-- the boxes we'd send full of American delicacies (like chocolates that I always figured would melt) home to the Philippines.

  This shocked me. to the core. The narrator was even a nurse. It's like nursing is... emblematic of OFWs, of the Filipino diaspora

  oh man I want to be a filmmaker. when cheryl was talking about being a 25-year-old black lesbian woman, I started wondering who I’d be in seven years, when I’m 25. I’m inspired.
