I’m in the process of reading all the books right now, but I won’t be a stickler for its accuracy here.
It was a solid movie! Very beautiful and honestly more queer than the books are, they also leaned more into the absurdity, desperation, perversion, and insanity of it all - I suppose it makes sense because the books are from Tim’s perspective and the film is of course not.
The ending scene with the door closing was magnificent, especially given what comes next in his story.
Loved!!!!
Extremely enjoyable watch, a good balance of silly and dramatic, phenomenal acting all around and very well shot.
I want to read the book now
It also helped that I was sat in the most comfortable theatre seat of my entire life (reclinable and no one around me) #winning
