Goes beyond what you think a dirty cop film will be. You are challenged to figure out Alonzo (Denzel Washington) along with the protagonist of the narrative, Jake (Ethan Hawke) throughout the film. You won’t want to draw your attention away from the screen, especially when the intensity of the scene makes you feel like there’s no other option. Deserving of 4 stars for me, maybe it doesn’t have that X factor of a 5 star film I like to be surprised by.

This is a great watch for when you’re looking for a movie that doesn’t get too crazy or complex. The performances from actors such as Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo really carry this film throughout its duration, and is clear in pivotal moments in the plot’s development. Nothing super special jumps out from this film other than the very serious and unique story it has to tell.

This movie exceeded my original expectations. Not knowing much about the story behind the creation of Facebook didn’t hold me back from following along with the film which was greatly appreciated. One reason to watch this film can solely be the must-watch performance that Jesse Eisenberg gives a with his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg throughout the film. Although it definitely seems like portions of the film are dramatized for the film’s sake, it doesn’t take away from the powerful and inspiring story it aims to tell the audience.

One of the best Andy Samberg movies I’ve seen. The jokes consistently land and don’t fall short with the wild humor many of his other movies can have. The time loop plot point is always a tricky task, but luckily they did not over complicate things and make room for numerous plot holes. Definitely a movie I could rewatch over and over.
