I’m always blown away by space movies because they are so cool and interesting but this one took Space sci-fi to a whole new level. Matthew McConaughey as well as the rest of the cast gave an emotional performance. Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer had to be a match made in heaven. Both of them created a masterpiece combining such a good score and cinematography. The whole time difference with earth and the planets they went to was insane. Almost had me cryin with the tapes. 5 Stars
Prisoners was one of the very few movies that has had me on the edge of my seat wanting more throughout the entire movie. I really love when movies like this give out small hints and foreshadowing that are really important to what was going to happen next. This is probably Hugh Jackman’s greatest performance when it comes to purely expressing his character’s emotions and actions throughout the movie. I gotta say the plot twist at the end of the movie did have me a little surprised. Overall the movie is very powerful and dark and one of the best movies I have ever watched.
I’ve watched this movie twice now and it is still one of the best modern western films I have ever watched. One of Quentin Tarantino’s best project’s in my opinion. Some minor complaints for me is the score because in some scenes the music did not fit with vibe of what was going on. Jamie Foxx, Leo DiCaprio, and the rest of the cast did an amazing job at portraying early 1800s western characters like Django and Calvin Candie. The action and choreography was very Tarantino-like which I am a fan of and really enjoyed. 4.5 Stars
