Disney definitely did something right with Mufasa. This isn't just a nostalgia cash grab, it is a beautifully crafted origin story that adds real depth to one of the most iconic characters in animation.

Visually the movie was stunning. The realistic animation drags you into the movie in a way that feels both grand and thrilling. The soundtrack also has a legendary status even tho it's hard to top Hans Zimmer. But, Lin did a great job.

    But it stands…

This movie was a hot mess. This Stephen King adaptation had such potential, but it couldn't decide if it wanted to be scary or funny, and no it ended up being neither. The cursed monkey toy? Cool concept.. The execution... Not so much...

The kills were somewhat creative and the right amount of over-the-top, but at some point it just got repetitive and lost ALL impact. The characters? Flat. The story? Meh.. It tried way too hard to be edgy…

    Captain America: Brave New World

    ★★

This is such a disheartening misstep in the mcu, failing to live up to the legacy. The film's narrative is a mess, attempting to juggle multiple plotlines without providing any clear exposition or resolution.

Sam as the new cap is disappointingly lackluster. Which sucks because I loved him in the series as cap, this movie does NOT do him justice. The script offers him so little to work with, reducing his character to a bland, functional hero devoid of depth…
