    The first three-quarters of this movie weren’t great.

    Yoda dying at the start makes no sense, he lived for 900 years, but the second we need some actual exposition, he just drops dead? Come on.
    And I really don’t see the necessity of introducing the Ewoks and their whole planet. It just adds a bunch of extra fluff that could’ve been used for character development or actual plot progression instead.

    That said, the final confrontation between Luke and Darth Vader…

    A highlight for me in this movie is definitely Han and Leia. Their chemistry and constant banter add so much. It makes their scenes some of the most entertaining in the film.

    It was fun seeing Yoda and the short training montage, but I wish that part had been extended a bit more. Honestly, I would’ve preferred more of Luke’s training over the first act on the ice planet, which felt a little drawn out.

    I really enjoyed the plot of this one, mostly because it adds so much weight to A New Hope. Seeing just how many lives were lost to get the Death Star plans makes the original trilogy feel even more significant.

    That said, I’m not sure how memorable this will be for me. The characters serve their purpose, but they don’t all stand out as much as in other Star Wars movies.
