The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001
Rewatched this tonight with my mum and sister, I hadn't seen this since 2001 what a trip, the movie that starts it all off on an adventure, seeing all the amazing shots of New Zealand is still so good, would love to visit there someday, but I still really enjoyed this film, it's heroic tale with quirky characters all trying to overcome evil and save there world, an amazing start to a superb trilogy of films directed by Peter Jackson.

When I was a kid I really wanted to watch this for Shannon Lee, now as an adult finally watching it I was sadly disappointed, Shannon Lee is very underutilized in this from acting to fighting, but omg that third act brought to you by Acer laptops!

The Host 2006
Finally watched this with my family, I was hesitant because of the creature fully being CGI, I would rather practical, but it still looked good even though this is from 2006 which is a giant credit for the vfx team at the time, Bong Joon-ho as a director pulls off a very charming family in a monster movie, that does it in a different way to standard monster movies, definitely enjoyed it. 😊
