Worst sex scene ever.
In all seriousness, all around great performances from the entire cast. It’s honestly hard to pick a favorite. Great costume, set, and makeup design.
Watching Nosferatu also makes you realize how sanitized modern Vampires have become, with Count Orlok’s disgusting, rotting body, his visceral, animalistic biting and sucking of blood, and his sinful desires on full display.
I’m honestly baffled at this movie is so well-acclaimed among Bond fans. I went in with excitement, and came out with confusion. Everything about this movie feels pointless. The script meanders from plot point to plot point (none of which seem related), spends half the film within a train car as nothing of substance happens, is driven by a villain who’s goals are as simple as they are dull, and ends with a resounding “Huh?”. The fact that the franchise survived this movie and was able to produce Goldfinger immediately after has to be evidence of some sort of divine intervention.
Easily one of the best films I’ve seen of all time. Everything from the pacing, the action scenes, the visual effects, the sound design, the cinematography, and the score were absolutely perfect. Every scene has you torn between trying to revel in its beauty, and aching for it to be over so you can find out what happens next.
