This movie gave me Crank flashbacks, should probably give them a rewatch.
Cast were fun, violence was jarring, writing was meh.
Had fun regardless, not every movie needs to be groundbreaking. Stupid and fun, this movie is stupid and fun and I had a great time watching it.

For me the best parts of this movie were when 17 and 18 interact, and how they connect later on. I like that they were two parts of the same whole, like they were detached parts of someone’s psyche.

I’ve heard people voicing their relief that the movie wasn’t as dark as they expected it to be, but I’d argue the subject matter is bleak enough. The beginning montage of Anora’s night on the job was heartbreaking, and her treatment throughout was harrowing.
Her husband was one of the most hate-able characters I’ve seen since Joffrey, the cast did a fantastic job all around.

    Despite the tone, this…
