Don’t know where to begin.
With the good, Zegler actually did better than I thought with her performance. Was she annoying, yes, but there could have already been a bias in me from all her lovely PR interviews. Did she work the bob well? No. Was the first half of the movie good? Yes, and the dwarfs were entertaining with their songs were lots of fun.

These action scenes were ridiculous. You telling me no one freaks out when you see 80 planes flying at you or until you finally realized they are shooting at you 40 feet away. They heavily overplayed the element of surprise. Playing chicken in the air with Japanese Zeros?? Cmon. I swear these planes were flying 30 feet above the air in every scene too. Director knew nothing about dog fighting or air combat.

Great great great watch. The colorized footage was absolutely amazing and I had to question if some of it was AI generated because I was dumbfounded they found so many different angles and shots. I was even more impressed by the story telling. It didn't just highlight the war and unique battles but you saw the collateral damage through the lens of a German, Polish, Russian, American, male, female, child, etc. and for this I was emotionally invested in each…

Finally a movie worth seeing in IMAX. Storytelling was so alien and unpredictable which is why it makes one of the best sci fi movies I’ve seen in a very long time. Hans was showing off in this film. Worms riding scene was so thrilling I felt like I was watching Top Gun Maverick. I’d like to imagine this is what Jesus’ ministry would look like if he was a man of violence and conquest (thankfully he was not)
