“It’s a whodunnit. You’ve seen one before. You’ve seen them all.”
Nothing very inventive in terms of ‘whodunnit’ genre but fun to watch! The classic murder mystery style reminds me of Knives Out (2019), with a (heavy) touch of Wes Anderson on the visual and the camera works, which I love!
Step aside, Doctor Strange. This is the real Multiverse of Madness! The amount of weirdness and absurdity in this film is beyond infinity that you won’t have an idea what will happen the next second. Endless surprises!
What drove me to watch Midsommar was pure curiosity towards a horror piece that took time in eternal broad daylight, but it turns out labeling Midsommar as a horror movie is an understatement.
Everything you see is bright and airy. You’ll hear no haunting score but cheery folk music—yet the whole 2.5-hour length is eerily sickening. Without involving much bloodbath and gruesome killings, it is still something not easy to digest. I wasn’t prepared for all the strange things happened.…
