Sean Baker is brilliant and I had to re-watch this after seeing Anora. To get such genuine performances out of kids this young is really impressive. One of my favorite Willem Dafoe roles too

My Cousin Vinny 1992
I will never tire of this movie. There's that conspiracy theory that Marisa Tomei didn't actually win the Oscar for this movie, but I refuse to subscribe to that nonsense. She's an absolute revelation and that scene where she describes the deer being shot is amongst my all time favorite movie scenes.

Disclaimer: I've never seen the original Broadway play so I'm coming into this without a point of reference. That being said, this was a wonderful display of acting, singing and filmmaking talents. Despite being a heavy 2hrs and 40 min long, it never really dragged and was engaging throughout.
The film does just about everything well but what steals the show is the chemistry between Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo who both embody their characters masterfully and are somehow even greater than the sum of their parts when added together.
Nothing short of fantabulous!
