  This is my most favorite Varun Dhawan movie of all time and it also is one of my most favorite Hindi movies of all time. HSKD is a tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and the makers don't act like it isn't one. HSKD has tons of DDLJ references and it is the best tribute.   I thought this would be so bad because this a Nani movie that I didn't even know existed. There's movies of his that I haven't seen but I've never heard of anyone even talking about this movie before so I assumed it was so terrible and forgettable but turns out that this is just very mid and predictable. There's nothing really special in the movie except for Nani's acting and some of Brahmi's comedy so I can see why this movie was a flop at the box office but somehow still found it's way onto tv.

  What the hell did Bobby Kolli do during Covid lockdown that lead to him becoming such a good filmmaker?!? I thought Waltair Veerayya was a fluke but Daaku Maharaaj is another really solid masala movie with really nice technical values. I can’t wait to see what he does next, he has the potential to be a great masala filmmaker if he keeps improving like this and gets his casting right.
