    I missed this movie in its initial theatrical run & have been wanting to see it ever since. Probably would've worked better at the time, but since Roe has fallen... It's fucking dark out there for people that might find themselves with an unwanted pregnancy & if a film attempts to equally poke fun at pro-choice & anti-abortion factions... Well, lets just say, one side is riper for satire than the other, which means the film has some awkward & head-scratching moments.

    Maybe slight, but I love stuff like this. Tiny portrait of a a way of life. Melville having a laugh before becoming one of the finest filmmakers of his generation.
