This film is for those who fantasize of Stranger Than Fiction, Inside Out, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Surrogates potpourri. It gets more intimate like the aforementioned films, having Being John Malkovich dwell into one's consciousness and talk its way out of one's innermost desires which apparently include longing and the most carnal of impulses. Although it seems like a hodgepodge, it is still vanilla, if anything. Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich. Did someone get into your head?

I kind of wish more people would watch this film and appreciate its beauty. Thank goodness, Kaufman, for having a change of heart in pursuit of a captivating, poignant piece of 'anomaly'. About 3 minutes onto the avante-garde, melodramatic film, I gladly took it upon myself that I was totally in for a ride. Given how grueling it was to produce, I will be forever indebted to the creators for making the most of Anomalisa's potential. It really helps if you know your audience. Charming exchange of lines(which I highly adore), attention to detail, about the right pacing, and beautiful soundtrack (by Carter Burwell).

Us is amazing but personally it will never be on a par with Get Out. Peele is already an amazing artist and his flair for cinematic detailing is truly impeccable. This style of conversing with the audience in an intimate, tantalizing, provocative manner is worth every second.
