  Wes Anderson is really just never going to challenge himself is he? Per usual, the production design is beautiful and per usual, we have aggressively quirky characters with very little to do. Like an experimental stage play I see how this is alluring for an actor but as a viewer this was just hollow eye candy. This movie, like every movie, also suffered from not enough Willem Dafoe (and Hong Chau).

  I’m a sucker for Christmas horror! 

  Definitely the most fucked up of the franchise thus far. This is the first of the series I was able to see in a theater and I’m glad I did, David Howard Thornton‘s performance as Art the clown is great and it really needs to be seen on the big screen with an audience.
