Pan's Labyrinth 2006
Watched this movie as a kid and thought it would be a simple movie for children. Far from that. The themes of Pan's Labyrinth are very much adult and just because something is said to be about a fairy tale doesn't mean it's supposed to be watched by kids. Fairy tales themselves are often pretty gruesome and this is no exception. Guillermo Del Toro takes a lot of inspiration from Shakespear's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" but it's kind of twisted.…
