Thought I was in for an Apatow style comedy but got gore central. The methods of death are ones that I hadn’t entertained before. Think (and feel): face road burn. I thought about how quickly the movie desensitized death through farce & sensationalization and then went ham with it. It felt like a badge of honor to keep your eyes open every time someone was offed in a more spectacular way. And now I’m thinking about how American society is shielded…

Romanticizing real life has always done it for me. Well, it's not all romantic and many moments are far from it but the approach makes those moments feel more delicate and not so heavy-ladled.
"Still processing" but I do know I covered my mouth with my hand, found my jaw agape, and my body was covered in chills many times.
