Lost Highway 1997
Good shit. Way better than Mulholland drive in my book. Best Lynch film? Great acting by Pullman and Arquette. Bit like a dark Zen koan, there is nothing to understand or explain, you just have to experience it.

Not really sure what to make of this film. Seems stuck between wanting to making a little bit of documentary about the character, but with a ”trying make a hip movie” touch. The choice of modern music and scenes sometimes just feels weird. Kirsten Dunst does a pretty good job, the rest of the actors not so much. If you absolutely love historical costume drama i guess this film is OK, if you want to learn something about the historical person - watch a documentary instead, otherwise i dont see why bother.

Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef 2024
If this is not the most bizzare entertainment youve ever seen, I dont know what is. The best part is to watch the different hot-dog eating excercises the two world championship contenders use. Absolutely hilarious. This documentary is way too long but you can easily watch it at 1.5 speed and skip through most of it. Be warned, Im not sure I will ever eat hot dogs again after having viewed this though, I just had two and was stuffed. Without spoiling too much I can say that I wouldnt have made it too far in this competition.

I dare say the Brits are good at feel good films. If your in the game for ”Four weddings and a funeral” and ”Love actually”, this is for you. Beutiful Guernsey scenery nice british accents, happy ending love story (nothing naughty of course). Nothing but true romance. I actually enjoyed it.
