Hundreds of Beavers 2022
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Act 1 NAILED the classic Looney Tunes routines. Act 2 Pulled a “Life Is Beautiful” and made itself more depressingly realistic. But that’s just me; I’ve never been a huge fan of major/sudden tone shifts. I prefer lighthearted comedies to stay lighthearted all the way through, like Spaceballs or Monty Python. The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014
I went in expecting simple hotel hijinks, but was pleasantly surprised by a moving and thrilling “not-WW2” adventure. Willam Dafoe stole the show, naturally, in every scene he was in.
