I guess I simply don't like these types of films that much. Sure, the idea of mixing reality and nightmare is interesting in a way, and Freddy Krueger might be a memorable villain, but I don't understand what attracts people to watch constant slasher scenes. Yet the genre is not even my only problem. The film is just kind of clumsy. The acting and everything... Not much good to say about that. It's hard to take any of this seriously. So even if other people do enjoy slashers for some reason, I still have no clue why they would give this one a high rating.
