One of the most fun times I’ve had at the cinema.
Like being at a concert and having a joyful cinematic experience at the same time.

I’m still waiting for Sean Baker to recapture what made Tangerine so good. He moves further from it with Anora but it was still in some ways a chaotic, amusing ride. The story goes exactly how you would expect so there are no plot surprises. MM performance carries the film but for film called Anora we surely could learn more about what makes her tick and focus more on her emotional journey. This film has nothing new or insightful to say about SW.
It feels like a lightweight response to the fantasy of Pretty Woman.
I really wanted to like Mickey 17 as I liked R Patz performance but it was a bunch of ideas crammed into one film. Too long in parts. Overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time. Definitely a disappointing follow up to Parasite. I wish we had spent more time with Mickey’s story.
