  Beautifully composed with great character performances from the cast. Could be a little shorter as it has a tendency to meander, but I felt it was a well made film. If I’m honest, I was hoping for something better, but it was ok.

  Tripped along nicely. Faithful to both the original text and the 1922 film, but I was struggling to see why retell this story and why now.
  Ultimately, a well made film, but I was not as blown away as I wanted to be. 
  An entertaining star vehicle for Nicolas Hoult and Lilly Rose Depp. Solid performances.

  Vapid. Mildly amusing content. I’m surprised it’s not a Netflix film. Killed a couple of hours. I will not remember this film tomorrow. It was lucky to get a lockdown release. I hope this is not the future of film
