Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason 2004

I really did not enjoy this film. Unlike the first film, Bridget does not grown, change, take responsibility or learn anything by the end of this movie. She treats Darcy poorly and rather than addressing her behaviour to win him back, he just forgives her for no reason whatsoever. It is frustrating. Bridget Jones's Diary 2001
This movie turned out to be far more conflicting for me than I expected. On the one hand, it’s incredibly over the top style of humour was very enjoyable. In a time where the Marvel style of constant quips is dominating movie humour it was very refreshing to watch a film that commits so hard to ridiculousness. On the other hand, this film only exists because Bridget is the most over dramatic character in film history. Every situation however minor is treated as though it is apocalyptic which grew tiresome very very quickly. Not a bad film by any means but not really good either
