Horror
I really did not enjoy this film. Unlike the first film, Bridget does not grown, change, take responsibility or learn anything by the end of this movie. She treats Darcy poorly and rather than addressing her behaviour to win him back, he just forgives her for no reason whatsoever. It is frustrating. It is far less funny than the first movie and on the whole I found this a truly frustrating experience
This movie turned out to be far more conflicting for me than I expected. On the one hand, it’s incredibly over the top style of humour was very enjoyable. In a time where the Marvel style of constant quips is dominating movie humour it was very refreshing to watch a film that commits so hard to ridiculousness. On the other hand, this film only exists because Bridget is the most over dramatic character in film history. Every situation however minor is treated as though it is apocalyptic which grew tiresome very very quickly. Not a bad film by any means but not really good either
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The second part of a trilogy is often either my favourite of the three or the low point in a trilogy for me. Dune Part two luckily falls into the first category.
This series continues to look absolutely jaw dropping and with a sensational score too this film is a joy for the senses. With the groundwork laid by the first film, this movie is much more action heavy and moves at a much faster pace. This doesn’t mean it…
