The Departed 2006
I liked Internal Affairs (2002) a bit more than this mostly because the relationship between Wong and Chan is just much emotionally deeper than that portrayed here in The Departed. Might be a cultural thing though to have that teacher/student relationship blend into somewhat of a paternal one.
The descent into madness of Costigan (Chan in the original) is a lot more interesting here but let’s be honest, it’s hard to top Tony Leung’s acting on an raw emotional scale…
