    Punch-Drunk Love

    Love is universal, but everyone experiences it differently. Barry Egan, who is clearly on the spectrum, struggles with definitions and the so-called "right" way to be in love. He got lucky—but most people don’t.

    Hats off to Lena. A strong film about love—unexpectedly funny, deeply tender in parts.

    Asked my younger sister if she wanted to join, and all it took was saying, "It’s a Robert Pattinson film".

    Unfortunately, that was also one of its stronger suits—Pattinson was great, but the movie itself felt like a lukewarm attempt, with no clear ideological vision. It seemed to be reaching for a Snowpiercer-esque critique of capitalism, but never quite landed (from what I read, Bong Joon-ho intended to?).


    On a side note, my favorite subplot was Ylfa and her relentless pursuit of sauce.
