i want to start off by saying a) i have never seen the first movie and b) i'm white
i think the story flowed well and i completely understand the whole thing being a metaphor for police brutality towards black americans, but sometimes it really lost the plot a little bit for me. i think it'd be fine if anthony was just being consumed by the thoughts of candyman rather than being his successor or whatever.
