The Thing 2011
still haven’t seen the original but this prequel absolutely sucked! the lack of general common sense and lack of urgency in the characters made me feel genuine rage so i was rooting for their downfall - bar my man Lars <3
eventually i’ll watch the original john carpenter and i can only assume that it’ll be much better. yet, the way this prequel allegedly smoothly runs into the original with the way it ends may be the only redeemable factor

i don’t watch a lot of spooky films (trying to battle that fact this year) but this one was fairly decent. i wasn’t traumatised but i enjoyed the subtle background movements & the fmc’s general descent into insanity due to what she was experiencing
