very very visually stunning. the set design and costume designs complemented each other so well and at times i would pause the film and let my eyes linger on a still for a few more seconds. film is primarily a visual text and Pazeekah knows that. having meena kumari with her big beautiful eyes as the lead increases the film’s visual appeal.
sanjay leela bhansali will sell his soul to make something so beautiful.

if i am being v honest i feel like a time will come in my life where i will be affected profoundly by this film but that’s not now. in fact, i can’t stop thinking about how unaffected i am by it considering just how sad it is. another thing about the film that i am fixated upon is how it’s simultaneously the quietest and most exaggeratedly melodramatic film i have seen.
