  This movie still touches me to the core, balancing environmental anxiety and the hope for a gentler and more empathetic way of being. The intense wish to live a peaceful and simple life in the shadow of environmental and social collapse. Highly recommend the manga as well, expanding the universe way beyond the valley and fleshing out characters and motifs.
