Challengers 2024
Connecting the pacing of a film to a tennis game when jumping from the past and present is an idea I wish I had created because it works so well for challengers. Jonathan Anderson will cement himself as a stellar costume designer after his work on Challengers and Queer. The sound design when it came to Tashi’s injury almost made me nauseous, along with the camera work for that scene. Luca Guadagino proves again that he knows how to document the human movement and still be able to experiment and try new things and make them work in an impressive manner.
