The concept of the anti villain is something that we don’t see too often but this movie masterfully executes the the complex characters. My only complaint is that at times it felt too long or slow.

Midsommar 2019
Traditionally we see horror movies in dark rooms and scary houses but in Midsommar we were scared in broad daylight. I noticed how when certain conversations we happening we would see a character and then see the other person in a mirror. Or other times during a conversation we would only see one characters face and reaction to the conversation and not see the other person at all. I think these both were tricks used in the movie to make the audience feel unsettled or uncomfortable. It’s because of small things like this that I was able to appreciate the movie for its skillful craft.
