Heretic 2024
This movie is the product of brilliant writing and stellar performances. It took its time to get set up, but soon after it gets good, then great, then terrific, then genre defining!
It brilliantly sets up multiple moments and every idea that’s discussed is subtly intertwined with the narrative. There are no cheap jump scares, no cliche tension building, everything is truly novel!
To sum it up — refreshing brilliant thriller.
I believe this movie has set up a new genre within horror. Religious horror and I’m all for it!
