Portrait of a Lady on Fire 2019
This film spoke to me on so many levels. It's beautifully lush cinematography was bursting from the screen and into my heart. The way music is used to break my heart ... I don't think I will ever trust music again. I feel like I just witnessed something beautiful and just had it ripped away, leaving a huge hole in my soul. The raw emotions I experience while watching this film are more overwhelming than any other film I have ever seen. Words cannot express how much this movie has shaken me. I'm broken.
