  No one should've marketed this as an Alien film or prequel. The premise is interesting enough on its own, and it only shared some themes with the original for the most part. It has larger ambition, a different focus and message that leaves it more as its own thing.

  The fact that it is connected to Alien could have just been easily made as a twist, and it would have probably been received differently. Most Alien fans who saw this back when it came out seems as if they went full-on CinemaSins and its really unfortunate.

  You'd see some great efforts and some cool ideas, but then not fully committing to most of them, paired with just some sloppy mess alongside. This felt like watching the work of someone who doesn't fully believe in what they're doing. However, it was still an entertaining watch, and there are still some things about it worth liking.

  This is where it all REALLY begins. This IS like the Mad Max we've come to know now. Explosive, frenetic, brutal, thrilling, and exhilarating!

  It's absolute bonkers to me that they were able to pull off those stunts and the chaos alongside the impressive camera work, considering this was shot in film and the budget wasn't that big! There must be a ton of planning, great action choreography, and a strong vision for all of it to work. It also…
