Bird Drone 2023
Bird Drone is gorgeously animated and well paced. The colors are beautiful and style is fantastic and feels hand drawn.
The story leaves a lot to desire. It is a crowd-pleaser narrative that is simple in structure but does little to create anything new. I feel like this was more of an animation showcase and less of an animation film. That isn’t to say the film is bad by all means, but it just needed more time in pre-production cultivating a story that would justify the level of animation presented here.

Tipsy Sugar Flipping is a genuinely well-shot well-acted and well-edited short film that struggles to find a connection between the characters in the story.
The form is there. The film feels ready to premiere at a major festival. What is holding it back mainly is its inability to find a cohesive through-line between the three characters that helps conclude this short film in a meaningful way.
