Less than a film, this outing felt more reminiscent of the Shrek 4-D amusement park attraction. It falls flat at attempting to fill its 2 hour runtime, with extremely boring story, characters, and settings. The cameo reveals were initially exciting, but the thrill wears off quickly when you realize that everything that makes those characters interesting is simply absent; swap out Blade or Elektra for any other character from Marvel’s roster and nothing changes. The sinking red cloud at the end of the film is one of the most eye-popping shots in film history, and for good reason. Jaws is a testament to Spielberg’s ability to make a good-looking movie, which makes it way more disappointing seeing his use of cgi in recent…
