  They must have known what an iconic image they were making when they put James Dean in that red jacket.

  It’s a mess of a film, but I still loved it? James Dean is remarkably good. Natalie Wood is remarkably bad. Sal Mineo is the only one who looks like a teenager. The Freudian stuff was unnecessarily heavy-handed. I was still surprisingly moved!
