This was so well done, having read the novel about a year prior to watching this for the first time I was more prepared for the tonal shift that happens in the last half hour but it still hit home. Thrilling and poignant.

every single frame of this movie is perfect. the colors burst off the stage, every characters gaze burn through the screen. everyone is so hot. the music is perfection, especially the dreams cover. i can’t express in words how beautiful this film is. i wanted to pause it about 30 different times and just stare at the screen. the writing is fantastic too, and i love how the closest both romances get physically is a head on a shoulder. these people don’t know each other, but they do in their minds.
