  Great performance by Fernanda Torres. She does an incredible job portraying the simultaneous strength and vulnerability of this woman. The first half of this film in particular is just stunning. How we transition from domestic tranquility, to genuine dread, and then the heartwrenching reality. I didn't connect with the back-half as much, but it wasn't bad or anything. Overall, a very good film that shines a light on a very dark period of Brazilian history.

  Man! The first two-thirds of this movie are so great that I was about to blow a gasket over how this could be polarizing... but then the third act happened.
