Just a very good comedy film. All we are in dust in the wind, dude.
Also got so many great background jokes, like Billy and Socrates playing catch, or Billy riding the escalator handrail like a horse. Maybe Dune (1984) wouldn’t have flopped if the opening narration had jokes in it?
About the first ten minutes are just scenes that definitely didn't need to be in the film (although it does make the aunt almost the best character in the film), and really the films better for most of the rest of the scenes not being in it. But then the last (pre-credits) scene was so good that it's almost a shame that I don't think there's a good place to put it back in the movie.
And then the pre-credits…
We lost so much when Lynch died. Just an amazing film, glad I finally watched it.
