    I feel like I just can't rate this yet (the only other time this has ever happened was with Synecdoche New York).

    I'm really impressed with David Lynch's ability to just do whatever the fuck he wants and not have to explain himself to anyone. When I write I'm always so concerned with explaining my feeling and my thought process to the audience, it's honestly really inspiring to see someone just leave things up to interpretation like this.

    Pretty underwhelming unfortunately. I expected more because it started out great, I loved the atmosphere and the cinematography. I feel like I get what it was going for, some sorta vague message about the state of America after 9/11, but I don't completely get it, maybe because I'm not American. I still appreciate it though, and it's interesting enough to make me excited to see Corbet's next movie.

    I watched this for my History of Cinema course. Our teacher talked about it for a full hour and a half. About the use of ready-made footage, the deep focus scenes, how it managed to make the most of its small budget. None of these make this movie great.
