  i think critics and review outlets are going to talk mostly about alicia vikander’s performance, which i think is another unfortunate example of “weird=good.” it was not some incredible stand-out performance. elizabeth olsen, however, did give a pretty stand-out performance

  beyond the acting, i think it was obviously a well-made movie. sets, filming, dialogue: all very good. the story i think tried to do a little much; tried to make a few too many points. the weirdness was not always effective, but that is certainly an opinionated statement and i will not contest to disagreements at all

  wow: this movie is entirely not made for me LMAOOO. i never read judy blume as a kid because they were girl books (and i hated reading), and this is absolutely a girl movie. THAT BEING SAID it was very heartwarming and super sweet. it invoked perfectly the unique loveliness of small town suburbia. life looked so wonderful there and just furthered my misery :) . it was a coming of age story from a young girl’s perspective but obviously…
