Not my favorite Bigelow film. It’s good for understanding the broad strokes of the historical events, but I’d enjoy a documentary more. Does drive home the point that America did not see to it that in the process of fighting monsters they did not become a monster.

Saw it this time on 35mm at the Vista
This watch-thru since I’ve seen a lot more of his films, I really appreciate Mann’s meticulous control of kinetic motion in the frame and his eye for sweeping depth in the frame.
Plus, each time I watch this I see more things that The Dark Knight was inspired by, and it makes for fun rewatches.

A Complete Unknown 2024
It was fun. By the numbers cookie cutter biopic. There’s no substance or anything really, just glide through from moment to moment. Chalamet actually gives an amazing performance as Dylan. My hope is that people come out of this realizing how singular Bob Dylan is.
