Tunnel Rats 2008
Beautiful anti-war film. Slept on as fuck idk how it got such low ratings, but it humanizes the viet-cong and soldiers on a different level. People fr just hating on the director cuz he’s made some shit films, but this movie adds levels of emotion that I didn’t think was possible. There’s some crazy levels of pathos from fear to sadness, and you increasingly see more gritty and horrifying means of death as it progresses. The ending was also phenomenal and emotional.

A Man Escaped 1956
Trash ass French film. Idk how you can make a prison break film this boring. The lack of sentimentality makes you completely uninvested in these boring ass characters that all look the same. Aside from the fact that the claustrophobic camera work giving you nothing to work with and making you feel absolutely no sense of suspense or anxiety in reference to what be a very tense situation, the overall movie went on for way too long. Temu fucking prison, no guards were present whatsoever, I could’ve escaped this prison in a day this mf took 50 years.
